New Hastelloy Manifold

Car-May has introduced the Hastelloy-C276 manifold for our 2-4 Base Station product. The Hastelloy manifold is highly resistant to a variety of aggressive chemicals, at elevated temperatures, that are used by the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. This is very important for the life span of our products. This new manifold also includes an integrated heating ability using two 50-watt hearing elements to prevent precipitation of saturated solutions. This temperature is controlled by a precision RTD (resistive temperature device) sensor.

Some of the aggressive chemicals that can be used include acids, bases and solvents. Some solvents being used currently include acetone, acetonitrile, DMSO (dimethyl-sulfoxide), cyclohexane, DMF (dimethyl-formamide), ethanol and heptane. The highly resistant manifold is not limited to the listed chemicals.
